Huntington is a city in Cabell and Wayne counties, located at the confluence of the Guyandotte River and the Ohio River. Most of the city is in Cabell County, for which it is the county seat. Huntington is the second largest city in West Virginia, with a population of approx 49,138.

Huntington Fire Department  -  Stations & Apparatus
The Huntington Fire Department - has a staff of 100 firefighters at six stations. The stations include six engine companies, two ladder trucks, a rescue truck, rescue boat, reserve engines, reserve utility trucks and staff vehicles.

The fire department is capable of water rescue operations and is the host locality to the Regional # 6 West Virginia Regional Response Team which provides Hazardous Materials and Technical Rescue Team responses. The Huntington Fire Department holds a Class 2 rating from the Insurance Services Office (ISO) and was the first department in the State to achieve this status.
