Martinsburg is a city in and the county seat of Berkeley County. The population is approx 17,227, making it the largest city in the Eastern Panhandle. Meanwhile, Berkeley County has a population of approx 104,169, making it the second-most populous county in West Virginia.

Martinsburg Fire Department  -  Stations & Apparatus
The Martinsburg Fire Department - is a 37 member career fire department providing fire suppression, advanced life support EMS, specialized rescue (extrication, high/low angle rope, trench, confined space, and structural collapse), fire investigaiton, fire code enforcement, hazardous materials response, public safety education, and child safety seat installation to the citizens of our community.

The department serves the City of Martinsburg from two fire stations, which are manned 24 hours a day, seven days a week, by personnel trained in emergency response. Emergency apparatus includes three ALS ambulances, three engines and an additional one in reserve, one heavy rescue squad, one aerial tower, and support vehicles which include specialized rescue trailers.
